Antique Religious Items

If you are a patron of the arts and always on the lookout for rare antique religious statues and items, then our beautiful town of Hinigaran should be on your list of places to visit. Among the precious possessions that our town takes pride in is the rare antique French wooden statue of May Magdalene which have been brought over by Recollect missionaries during the early days of the town.

The precious antique statues, which shows Mary Magdalene with a flask on one hand and what seems to be a scarf on the other, dates back to the mid-1800s or perhaps even earlier. The flask perhaps symbolizes the fragrant oil or perfume she brought to pour over the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ as narrated in the bible.

Other precious and century old antiques and items that can be found in our beloved town of HInigaran are the statues of St. Anthony de Padua, St. Peter, old wooden doors, and many more.
